Race Reports

** Round 4 - Three Sisters Circuit.**

Test Day:

Weather was hit & miss but got a few sessions in on both wet & dry tyres. Gearing was changed a few times as was revving out - but by the end of the day we felt the bike was set up ready for Quali.

Friday

Q1 - P6

Q2 - P6 (new PB)

** Overall P6**

Saturday:

Race 1 - P7

Good start & got away well. Held P6 for 6 laps, dropped to P7 after a great battle with another rider & despite pushing on couldn’t reclaim P6 finishing 0.3 behind on the line. Felt I still had more in the tank & was excited for Race 2.

Race 2 - P7

*Started P8 on the grid for Race 2*

Some suspension changes were made & felt made a positive difference! Strong start straight into P7 which held for 5 laps, then made a gutsy pass round the outside to P6. Again another great battle interchanging positions with 2 other riders & brought it home P7, only 0.2 seconds behind.

Huge thank you to Team Gaslawski 64# for all of your help with my bike, your advice & incredible support - to Luka for being on the grid with me & Shannon for being the best human pit board for my races too!

Thank you to my Danny Webb's GP Camp teammates for the support & congratulations on your brilliant results.

A really positive round & left feeling happy with what I’m learning & achieving.

Double header at Whilton Mill in a few weeks & really looking forward to it.

** Round 3 - Pembrey Circuit.**

Friday Test Day:

Gearbox problems meant most of the test day I was on the hire bike whilst my bike was fixed - couldn’t get to grips with the bike so just focused on learning the track. Got my bike back late afternoon & got a session on it.

Saturday:

Q1 - P10

Q2 - P11

** Overall P11 **

Not where we wanted to be qualification wise especially after achieving PB’s each session, but the talent in this class is exceptional.

Sunday:

Race 1 - P8 (new PB)

Great start & battled hard throughout the race - felt was losing out at the end of the straights against other riders though. The slipstreams were something else & unfortunately worked against me as I lost P7 literally on the line.

Race 2 - P10 (new PB)

Considered changing the gearing but didn’t feel confident on it during FP2 Saturday so left settings as they were. Got a good start & straight into a pack of 4 riders who interchanged positions all race, was a great race with each of us being stronger in different sectors.

Not our best weekend results wise but that’s racing unfortunately. Left Pembrey initially feeling disappointed but also left with valuable lessons & I’m looking forward to Three Sisters next month.

Big thank you to Chloe Jones for making the journey to Wales to help me - for the track walks, support, invaluable feedback & for being on the grid with me too!

Another big thank you to Danny Webb #99 for your supportive messages, confidence-building call from Assen & for believing in me!

** Round 2 - Rowrah.**

Test Day:

Test day went well, first time at this track on the Ohvale & couldn’t wait to get out. Made consistent progress throughout the day.

Saturday:

Q1 - P5

Q2 - P7

** Overall P7 **

Race 1

P7 Got away well, stuck with the chasing pack. Managed to bring it home in P7 but felt had more in the tank. Sunday:FP1 - P5Felt really good on the bike & was eager for Race 2.

Race 2

P7 (new PB) Got a good start up to P6 & pushed on with the chasing pack. Great battle with Josh & Daniel, took last corner slightly too wide & got pipped on the line finishing P7. Was disappointed after holding P6 all race but lots learnt!

Race 3

P6Really determined for this race. Popped a wheelie at start dropping 2 places & left me with a lot of work to do. Got my head down & chipped away finishing P6. Positive race weekend, took away solid points & already looking forward to Round 3 at Pembury next month. Thank you as always for the incredible support, really does mean so much. Congratulations to my teammates for their epic results!

** Round 1 Teeside Autodrome.**

New championship, new track, new bike, new class!

We arrived super motivated to get going! First couple of sessions were all about learning the track. Entered both the FIM & 160/50 class.

FIM Minigp UK 160 Overall Qualification: P5

Put in a benchmark in Q1, knew there was more in the tank & found it in Q2 with a 1:17.00, putting me P5 on the grid - mega happy!

FIM MiniGP UK 160 Race 1: DNF

Got a fantastic start behind my teammate Frankie, was in the zone & hit a new PB of 1:16.77! Felt really good & pushed on but unfortunately pushed a bit too hard & tucked the front on the back part of the circuit. Was gutted as was going so well. Rider ok, some damage to bike but was determined to get back out as soon as bike was fixed.

FIM MiniGP UK 160 Race 2: P4

Knew it was super important to get some points on the board after my unfortunate DNF in Race 1. Fantastic start straight into P3, which I held for a lap then dropped to P4 behind teammate Frankie. Managed to push on & cross the line P4! Absolutely over the moon with that result, especially as such a formidable grid!

MiniGP 160/50 overall Qualification: P8

MiniGP 160/50 Race 1: P7

Thanks to the amazing help of the team my bike was fixed quickly after my off in FIM Race 1 & made it to the grid! Still had a bent bar but was determined to give it my best shot. Good start & made up a few places. Race was red flagged due to a high speed crash, thankfully rider was ok. Race restarted, held P6 until last few corners & crossed the line P7.

MiniGP 160/50: Race 2 - DNS

Super happy with my first round in the FIM MiniGP UK 160 class. Lots to learn but really enjoying riding in such a supportive environment!

Wishing fellow racer Hudson a speedy recovery after his off.

Huge thanks to my Danny Webb's GP Camp team for all of your incredible support.
